YOUR DATA

Privacy Policy

Effective July 28, 2026. Throttle is operated by 21x20 Media, Inc..

The short version

Throttle does not offer accounts, take payments, run advertising trackers, or use third-party analytics. Most pages are ordinary public reads. Calculator and generator inputs and results stay in your browser and are not sent to Throttle.

Information handled during ordinary visits

Like most websites, our servers receive request information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include your network address, the requested URL, time, browser details, and referring page. Search terms are included in the search URL and can appear in ordinary server logs.

We use this information for security, troubleshooting, reliability, and aggregate traffic measurement. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or sell it to anyone.

Anonymous tool counters

When you deliberately run a browser tool, or successfully use one of its copy buttons, your browser sends only a fixed action name such as the tool name and run or copy. Throttle adds that action to an anonymous daily total so we can tell which tools are useful. Your tool inputs and results are not included, and these totals do not identify or count unique people.

Each action is sent at most once per tool page load. The request does not create an analytics cookie or product account. Abuse controls retain only one-way network-address bucket hashes, time windows, and counters.

Protected form data

Opening the protected contact, acquisition inquiry, or update form creates a secure guest-session cookie that expires after 90 days without activity. The associated session record includes a network address and a one-way browser signature. These controls let us apply CSRF protection and limit automated submissions.

If you send a contact message, we process the name you provide, your email address, topic, and message so we can review and reply. If you send an acquisition inquiry, we process the buyer identity, role, acquisition purpose, timing, and any optional offer or context you provide. Contact and acquisition content is handed to our local mail system and the recipient mailbox and is not stored in a Throttle content table. Abuse-control tables contain only one-way bucket hashes, time windows, and counters.

If you submit an update, we store the affected service or page, official source URL, change description, email address, and optional notes in Throttle's private review queue. We also send a plain-text copy to the private operator mailbox so a new report is noticed. Pending and actively reviewed queue records are retained for up to 180 days. Accepted and rejected queue records, including their operator action history, are retained for up to 30 days after review. Mailbox retention applies separately. Submitter email addresses are retained so we can request clarification and are never published.

Cookies and browser storage

Normal public reading and use of browser-side tools does not require a product cookie. The three protected forms use the guest-session cookie described above. Throttle does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

External links

Provider documentation and other external sites have their own privacy practices. Following an external link sends a request to that site under its policies, not this one.

Your choices

You may use the public references and browser-side tools without opening a protected form. To ask about information you sent, use the Contact page and choose Legal or privacy question.
